TODDLERS
As the children on this level are becoming more independent staff support this by creating opportunities to encourage self-esteem and confidence. Children are starting to build friendships and learn simple boundaries. Through planned activities the staff will support the children's learning and next steps providing them with challenging activities to keep them occupied and interested.
At this age and stage of children’s development they begin to form friendships develop both socially emotionally, staff are on hand to support parents/carers with advice on toileting, language development or any other learning or challenges they may be facing as their toddlers grow and develop. Toddlers are encouraged independence at meals times and staff sit with the children and making it a social occasion.
