Baby Unit
Our baby unit has 4 bright spacious rooms in the basement of the house allowing children to explore freely in smaller groups. The baby room has its own separate sleep room allowing the younger babies to sleep undisturbed. During your settling in sessions your child’s key worker will discuss your child’s routine and individual needs to make the transition as smooth as possible. Staff in the baby unit are available to offer parents/carers advice during their early years, this could be a simple as support with weaning or their development in general.

Our baby unit the staff are provided with training specifically targeted at looking after under 2's. The rooms are laid out to provide a relaxed environment for your child to explore with different choices of resources for them to access, at this younger age babies like to explore the environment using their senses, staff encourage this by providing them with materials to stimulate this from heuristic play to getting messy with paint.
As the babies get older, they are encouraged to be independent, using their own cutlery and drinking form an open top cup are part of this. The baby unit also benefits from a fully covered outdoor area which means they can go out every day even when it's raining to make sure they get plenty of fresh air.
